And Wayne Moose is not only an accomplished bassist, but he does a mean impersonation of Opie Taylor. Dave Scott keeps it real. He welcomes the challenge of leading a guitar trio. Think about that. No one else is comping for you, and the only other soloists are your bassist and your drummer (God help you...) And further, Dave never looks at a lead sheet to get him get through a tune. That's impressive. OK, it's easy for me to wax philosophic. I don't have to negotiate chord changes. But I've worked with world class musicians who need that music stand. Not Dave. He plays without a net. And that is musicianship.
