Danny Hull Newsletter: Musically This Week Vol XIII, No 5

Hullo friends.  Thanks to everyone who came out to hear and dance to the incomparable vocal stylings of Mary Stahl last night.  If we're to convince the new ownership that what we offer is vital to their success, we'll need to continue to generate an audience throughout the negotiations.  To that end, our present and benevolent owner has invited Mary to return next Saturday.  Make your plans now.  And as to the aforementioned talks, we'll know more next week.  The landlord will be here on Wednesday to meet with a couple of parties who are interested in buying the business.  If they can come to an agreement, our challenge will be to convince the new owners that they need us.  So straight ahead and onward for the next few weeks.  Here's what's happening...

Tuesday, 10/12 at Bobby McGee's     7:00 - 10:00
Greg Millar, guitar     Ronnie Peterson, Hammond B3 organ     Rey Scott, saxophone     your host, drum set
We couldn't have taken that step to the next level musically without the visionary generosity of our friends at Hamburg Music.  But their six foot grand will fall silent this Tuesday as we present guitarist Greg Millar in the familiar environs of the classic organ quartet.  Ronnie Peterson will choose a B3 from his collection, Rey Scott will lend his talents, and Greg will lead us through his vast repertoire as we explore the musical possibilities handed down from the Buffalo organ days of Joe Madison, Bobby Jones, and Wally Jedermann.  You are invited to recapture that sound with us, and help us keep our own tradition alive.  Still at Bobby McGee's - i

n the Maple Ridge Plaza, Sweet Home & Maple Roads with Jyl, Jessica, steady Billy & quiet Mike - good music, good food, good people, chilled spirits, and a great hang.
