Danny Hull: Musically This Week Vol XIV, No 42

Hello friends.  Happy summer.  Hope you can make this...
Tuesday, 6/26 at the Iris Restaurant     7:30 - 10:30
Michael T. Jones, piano     Warren Stirtzinger, guitar     Randy Stirtzinger, bass     your host, drum set
On most nights in a jazz setting, it's either piano or guitar.  But with the right two musical personalities, the two-chord thing can be magic.  Oscar Peterson & Joe Pass.  Wes Montgomery & Wynton Kelly.  Bill Evans & Jim Hall.  Grant Green & McCoy Tyner.  Nat King Cole & Oscar Moore.  Michael T. & Warren.  These guys share an artistic simpatico that together answers the musical requirements of style, lyricism, and invention.  They both know every tune written, they listen, they swing hard, they improvise, and they share a musical dialogue that transcends cliche.  And not surprisingly, they have a good time doing it.  So join us if you can, and help us keep the music in the air.  The Iris Restaurant, in the plaza at the intersection of Maple & Sweet Home Roads in Amherst.  Good music, good food, good people, chilled spirits, and a great hang.
next Tuesday, 7/3 at the Iris Restaurant     7:30 - 10:30

Ron Corsaro - piano & arrangements     Tim Clarke - trumpet     Kenny Kuriscak & Russ D'Alba - saxophones     John Hasselback, Jr - trombone     Wayne Moose - bass     your host - drum set
